About us
Himalayan Yeti Club (HYC) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) established in 1996 with a objective of preserving and promoting Sherpa culture and tradition; and to achieve economical, environmental and sustainable development of Sherpa communities. The Club is founded by young Sherpas from Junbesi village of Solu-Khumbu District,
consisting of multi-disciplinary professionals and young Sherpa students from Junbesi area residing in Kathmandu and also other parts of Nepal. Himalayan Yeti Club supports socio-economically disadvantaged members of Sherpa communities from Junbesi village, as well as surrounding areas of Beni Village Development Committee.
